Shipping
No, we currently have suspended shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. We will notify consumers when and if this changes in the future. All orders attempted to such locales will be cancelled manually by our CSR team. Please contact our Customer Care department for order inquiries. We apologize for any inconvenience.

LTL stands for “less than truckload” and is a truck shipping method used when freight doesn’t require the use of an entire trailer. For our larger products and sets, Highwood ships using this method, which may result in longer fulfillment times. You will also be contacted by the carrier for an appointment to be present for the delivery.
Highwood offers free shipping on all orders of $500 USD or more (unless a current shipping promotion is active on-site). For orders under that amount we have 2 flat rate tiers. For orders in value of $499.99-$300.00 a customer will pay $49.99 in flat rate shipping fees. For orders in the range of $299.99 and down customers will pay a flat rate of $29.99.

Material
HDPS stands for high-density polystyrene. HDPS is lighter and more rigid than HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and thus is more load bearing. HDPS is our flagship material that the company was founded on. It’s also easier to manufacture and assemble HDPS products with a real-wood look. However, HDPE is a more flexible material, which means it can take stronger impacts without breaking. We offer both types to suit whatever your furniture needs.
We do not recommend painting this material as this will void the warranty.
Products labeled as built-to-order are items that we do not carry on-hand inventory of each day. These products begin production only when orders come in. At a minimum these items take 4 days to produce and will typically be past our normal guaranteed fulfillment windows.

Highwood USA material and the use of stainless hardware allows our products to be left outside all year long through sunshine, rain, snow, and ice.
Yes, the color that you see on the surface along with the UV inhibitors and stabilizers run continuously throughout the material and help to protect our lumber from harmful environmental degradation.

Assembly
Highwood furniture requires minimal assembly. Most furniture items can be assembled in approximately 30 minutes. You can view our assembly guides here!
Payment
We accept credit cards, ACH, Shop Pay, Google Pay and Paypal.
Shop Pay is an accelerated checkout that allows you to pay in an installments format and save your email address, credit card, shipping, and billing information. This can save you time when you check out, especially if you've already opted into Shop Pay on any other website that also uses Shop Pay.
