About this Piece
Acrylic enamels and alkyd (oil-based) paints will provide the best performance.
No sanding or priming is necessary. Ensure the shutter is free of dust and any other foreign material, then simply brush, roll, or spray [using an airless sprayer] with your preferred quality exterior paint.
** Aerosol spray paint can be used, however, do not use if it contains any aromatic hydrocarbon (e.g., xylene, toluene).**
These finishes consist of an outdoor acrylic enamel or oil-based paint that will hold up against moisture and UV exposure. Be sure to follow the instructions provided by the paint manufacturer.
