This product is assembled with 304-grade stainless steel hardware and comes with the assurance of a manufacturer’s 12-year residential limited warranty. The chair has been load-tested, per ASTM 1561-03 (2008) standard for outdoor plastic furniture, and has a 500-pound weight capacity. Some assembly is required (see assembly guide) and assembled dimensions are 29"W x 37.75"H x 38.5"D (40lbs).

I bought 4 of these chairs along with the matching footstools for our deck that overlooks a lake. They are classy and modern. I bought them in black although I thought the Coastal Teak was nice too (I ordered color samples from Highwood and they arrived quickly). These are so well made and thick--well worth the cost over buying cheaper options. I have a couple other modern Adirondack chairs that are cheap imitations that I bought to see how we liked having Adirondack chairs and the material on those is much thinner (so it will ultimately bend/warp and one arm rest already shows some flex) and the build is much less solid. In addition, the cheap ones have hardware that shows while the Highwood chairs have hidden hardware. These are differences that you may not notice when buying online but I am sure that my Highwood chairs will last twice as long if not more. The Highwood chairs also have a wood grain unlike some HDPE furniture. These chairs are replacing teak chairs--I loved the teak but there was so much yearly maintenance, even though I left mine to weather naturally I still had to clean mildew and mold. These Highwood chairs look about as close to painted wood as you could possibly get without being wood. One comment I have is that if you are tall and like to lean your head back onto the chair headrest then these may not be the chair for you. I'm 5'4: and, when I recline, these hit me the middle of my head (about where my baseball cap fastens, LOL) but the height of these means they can't be seen when looking out our wall of windows so they are perfect for us. If you want a higher back I'd still recommend Highwood in another model!

Goldilocks United StatesThis Chair is Just Right!
I just finished assembling two of these (easy, and alum wrench provided) and they are really nice. I looked at several different styles and brands of Adirondack chairs before settling on these. I chose them because they had the modern look I wanted, and more importantly, because the seat is more generous than many of the other ones I looked at. I am long-legged and a lot of chairs hit short behind my knees which I don't like. These seats are 19 3/4 inches deep and are just right. A lot of the less expensive models I researched had seat depths around 17+ inches. They are very solid and comfortable, and they have a high back so you can rest your head; and yes, the arms will hold a wine glass or coffee mug. Also, it was a little difficult to tell exactly what the color would look like from the online photos. I got the coastal teak and it is a nice gray, like weathered teak furniture. I am very happy with this purchase.
